Title: Ohio Iceageddon
Post by: eggshell on February 06, 2022, 04:48:38 PM
Man an lot of us Ohio boys got absolutely hammered with an ice storm last thursday (2/3/22 through Friday evening and then bitter cold. Tons of damage and down trees. Two inches of frozen ice on the ground and 1/2 inch on tree limbs. So hard even an ATV runs on top of it. I hate to think how hard it is for our turkeys to scratch up food. I been without power for 3 days and may get it by Wednesday (2/9/22 ). Maybe our reduced bag limit will be necessary after all

You'll be surprised at how well they cope in those storms. We had a really bad one in 09 and thought there was no way birds would make it but they did just fine.

I hope so KYlongspur, we had a similar storm in 2004 and lost some birds. My instincts tell me your right, but ice is a bad deal.
