A friend of my sons killed a unique hen mallard this year and asked if I would mount it for him. He said if it didn't turn out it was no big deal. So I took it and told him I would try to do it. I haven't mounted a duck in 25 years. He just happened to come by today right after I got it done and loved it. Now we will just have to wait until it dries to give it to him.

Very nice Joe. She has some odd plumage for sure for a mallard

It looks like a mix to me. Maybe mallard and pintail crossed or something. Strange speculum...
