Title: Roanoke Style Yelper
Post by: ScottTaulbee on February 04, 2022, 03:15:58 PM
Can anyone point in me in the right direction of anyone who makes a take down Roanoke style trumpet with a cap to carry it in a pocket?.

Ralph makes Everitt style Roanokes with a cap shaped like the original thread spool caps. Here's mine. You can see the cap up above the call.

Lewis Stowe makes a two piece trumpet that you can carry in your shirt pocket. It is a player also.

That's the Roanokes I have. Only two have caps. The one without doesn't need one as it's a friction fit with a gasket and the mouthpiece is indestructible. Ralph Permar has the longest history of making that style call and his is undoubtedly the most historically correct. Ralph would probably be your easiest bet.

No. Only the one on the right. That's his Everitt style call.

That's the first takedown call Charlie Trotter's ever made. Black linen micarta and anodized titanium.
