Title: What shell for moth season?
Post by: gobbler74 on June 02, 2011, 01:59:59 PM
I swear if these things get any bigger I'm settin' up a moth gun. It would take at least a lead 4 to bring this one down. Of course the state probably wouldn't let us use lead. Probly have to leave the mag plugs in too.

Is that a cecropia moth?  I caught a lunar moth last summer and it was pretty big.

Beautiful coloration.

Thanks for sharing. Quite a bit of humor as well.  :toothy12:

Jim,
You would need a shell and choke combo that would put at least 50 in a 4" circle at 40 yards......... ;D
I wish you the best of luck in your quest. He's a bigg'n!
