I have an Osceola fan that I'm going to dry out for a plaque display. I know most people use bondo to seal the base of the feathers. My question is, will the seal foam in a can work just as well? The object is to seal the base of feathers... and seal foam should do the same, right? As long as no air can get to it, I'd think it would be ok. Thoughts?
My one and only quick thought on this is you will need to be careful because that foam tends to expand rapidly. Other than that I am not qualified to reply and will leave it to those that know much better than I do. Best of luck with it.
Hot glue- goes on easy and seals it
Yes , hot glue gun ...
Just make sure the quills are cleaned of all meat and fat like these. Bugs love meat. Even when dried with salt or borax.
