So my surgery on my toe went well, I will be on crutches for 6 weeks to allow the I guess you would say knuckle heal, just hoping I can finally stop having problems with footwear, even my EEEE sneakers would hurt.
Wishing you a speedy recovery and hopefully it will be successful.

Thank you much, added pictures, as you can see the foot is pretty messed up, I am just glad God let me walk, I could have very easily lost my leg in that accident, it took them over an hour to get me out.
Wishing you well Steve, you will be chasing them gobblers next spring.....be well my friend......

Thanks Tom, I sure will be.
Good luck, and follow the rehab. Hopefully this will get you back to pain free, or at least pretty close!

I hope so, it gave me a lot of problems this turkey season. I will follow it, biggest problem I am having now is the apartment is kind of narrow in places for crutches.
Looks like you've been through a lot. I hope you're on the downhill
slide from here on out.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Wishing you a super fast recovery Steve!
Hope you heal up well and quick as possible!
What exactly was operated on? Maybe I missed some other info somewhere?
Heal and rehab brother, in our prayers :mycross: :mycross:

I will be going down the 20 or so stairs on my backside, I feel fine going off but my bad balance shines through trying to go down with the crutches. Thanks.

Thank you much, my goal is to be able to walk in the woods by Fall, but if all goes well I will get the left knee replaced, I have to wait for this new specialist to join the practice and s/he? would be the one to do that. My case is harder they said because of the staples in the left knee and the rod that goes into my right knee, both knees need to be replaced. I am beginning to feel like one of those people that just love to get operated on. I think they call them Hypochondriacs*

Thank you very much, please add my friend from church Tim, he had the vaccine and has had a total mental collapse since he got it, not himself at all. He has that thing that Jerry Lewis used to do the telethons for and when he got the shot it totally change him, he was fine before that, very much loved God, never heard a foul word out of his mouth and very gentle man, now he is the polar opposite since that vaccine. He is major reason I will never get it by any of the makers.

Don't give up. Let's just say i had a severe break of my rt ankle with major complications. It's compromised and I have to live with it. Since 2005 I've missed 5 turkey seasons. Had six surgeries. This yr had a problem with my left hip because it makes up for my rt leg gait, missed half of this yr's season. Dusted myself off and hitting the gym with new purpose and urgency. I turn 69 in Aug and don't know how many seasons I got left. I'm just going to do what I can to stay in shape to get out in the turkey woods. The Marines taught me that the human body can do more than you think when you think you got nothing left. Next year I am hunting turkeys. Hang in there and do the re-hab, grit your teeth and get tough on re-hab. I was told that I would need a cane. Bull Manure, never used one...yet. Get Well and get out there next year. Maybe we can go together and call ourselves the walking wounded! One more thing don't forget to ask Jesus for help. He's just waiting for you to ask Him. Norm :jackson:

My right knee is messed up because it has been making up for the left side for so long so I know what you mean. I did have to use a can for many years until my doctor and I came up with some medications that helped me, returning to the woods after 17 years to turkey hunt was one of the greatest things in my life and when I finally got my first turkey it was incredible and something I will never forget. You may like to read this, I think you will enjoy. Oh and always ask for the help of the Lord. http://oldgobbler.com/Forum/index.php/topic,91525.msg891235.html#msg891235

Thank you, a bit sore but good other than that. I did not realize how much getting this done would get in my way of doing things, I am already bored.
Faith will see you through this tuff time my friend ... rehab hard but pray harder .

It will see you through quite a bit, I just have to learn to remember that more. I am not sure if there will be any rehab, it was never mentioned.
