I remember buying boxes of Remington and Winchester loads at WalMart that had similar charts on them in the early 2000s. A box of dove loads was only $2.15.

I hope to retire the 835 and use a .410 next year myself.  It should be a joy to shoot.

I used my 10 ga. this spring the entire season.  I really did not mind the extra weight surprisingly.

I carried a 10 gauge S/S and later a  10 semi for several years. Both in the 10 - 11# weight range. Looks like  next year will be a 5# 28 gauge semi.

Turkey loads from the past. Priced at $12.12 a box , less than $0.50 per shell.

Me too! Had a great time hunting with a classic. Tom turkey didn't seem to like it one bit though!

Sure went through a ton of those back in the day.
Wish I had some old peters ammo boxes from 78-80. On sale they were 2.50 a box from Mattingly's.

Not sure how old these are but they are paper shells.

The old Federal Field loads 1-1/8 # 8s in my dad's old 16 ga. 870 was bad medicine for doves around $5 a box, less if you bought a case.

Have a NR Davis SxS 16 ga I used for dove in high school, 80's. Fun times for sure.
