Looking for recommendations for a good cerakote applicator. I'd like to send a gun to someone with a pattern idea I have and see if they can match it with cerakote.

Black Dove Customs is the best.
Can all these folks do trigger work? I know Rob Roberts can.

Charger Arms can as well. They also carry suppressors and they are a one stop shop for getting all the paperwork, fingerprinting, etc done as well. Currently at 6 months waiting on the ATF to approve the suppressor for my .224 valkyrie. Just dropped off my main shotgun as well as my brother's gun for cerakote work and they have previously done my coyote rifle.
They also have a laser and can put an image on your gun.
I wouldn't let Rob Roberts outfit coat my BB gun...You want cerkote I recommend Black Dove

Rob Roberts did trigger work on my Benelli. He cut the hammer spring and, as a consequence, that gun had intermittent cycling issues. I finally sent it to Benelli and they told be spring had been cut. Roberts was the only one to work on that gun.
If you need trigger work done, get a spring kit from Taran Tactical and do it yourself. Youtube will show you exactly how to do it. Easy as pie...

I don't know how Roberts got his reputation based on the work he did on my gun.
He'll never get a shot at me again...

I may do the trigger work myself then. I've been able to get the triggers right on some of my guns using YouTube. I figured while someone had it for cerakoting I may as well get the trigger done if it needs it.

Preston Vanderford at IronHorse Gunworks in Loretto, TN. Can do whatever you need, and is second to none, IMO. No job is too big or small for them.
