I'm going to be leasing land this year for hunting and need insurance who do y'all recommend?
Good question,...one that I can't answer, but I would start out by looking into your state laws about liability for such matters. In addition, no matter what you find out and what insurance you might end up getting, I would make sure every single person that hunts the property has signed a waiver of liability agreement that covers every imaginable circumstance.
Also, if you have a dwelling on the property that you have home owners insurance for, it is possible that you can add protection under that policy.
Check out American Hunting Lease Association.. you can get quote on line and they also have examples of the cost of different acreage.
We have our hunt club Ins. through QDMA. Just like Greg posted above, you can see rates on-line.
