I've got some season left but unlikely I will get to hunt anymore.
I'm officially tagged out in Idaho. And no other plans.
I'm not finished yet. I'm hoping to get a few more hunts in.
Good luck guys!!!

I'm still hunting, but it is not looking good Gents .... Sorry. Gobbler sightings are below average and they are not very vocal. We are done in NY on 5/31 and will do my best to get out there for a couple more days before then.
Dr J. Hope you get a clear stretch of perfect weather. Just one needs to cooperate. We all have the times it's awful til it happens in five minutes. Stay the course and good luck.
Good luck Doc!!

That's the way it was for me at my new place in Tennessee. End of the season, and gobblers were still following hens around. They'd gobble at you, but they weren't coming.

Got 1 talking now but he ain't moving by his gobbles. I'm in Potter Co. raining now yesterday was literally a washout trying to keep some calls dry. Good thing they make diaphragm calls and I'm halfass with those. Their responding to my ceramic Winchester call so we're tryin to keep that call nice and dry.

It happens man. I had my 2 year birdless streak a few years back. Hang in there brother!! Next year will be your year.

It happens. Tennessee saved me from having a 3 year birdless stretch. Our turkey numbers are terrible and plummeting like an avalanche in WV. Weather hasn't helped but they opened fall hen statewide 5 years ago and it coincides with the population decline.
Oh. I never knew that about WV. In Pennsylvania we gave had a fall season as long as I can remember. It's usually 2-3 weeks long and rifles up to this year were legal.

We've all been there. We will fire on all cylinders one day.
Yeah, there's a fall season here in Tennessee, but I'm not going to take any. Shooting hens is crazy, unless your population is off the charts and growing. Most places in America that is not the case though. Shooting fall gobblers, IMHO, just means one less gobbler that will be around in the spring.
