Title: Western Oklahoma hunting
Post by: makestomstremble on April 30, 2021, 12:29:47 PM
Finally got on the board in Oklahoma. Was in pretty tight on this bird, I never called until I heard him fly down. Just a little bit of soft talk from an old Primos True Slate. Bird had three beards, 9 1/4", 7" and 1" with 1" and 1/4" (broken) spurs. Very fortunate to get to hunt this farm. It is only 80 acres, but it is surrounded by farms that are not hunted to my knowledge. Beautiful morning, 49 degrees, light wind and could hear several other birds gobbling on my way back to the truck. I have also included a pic of a little prairie rattler that I saw in the road yesterday that had a mouthful of frog.

Great job man! I hunted Cookson Hills in Southeastern Oklahoma a couple weeks ago, and just about stepped on this Cottonmouth on a creek shore
