Title: Spent the morning with the boy

And did we have a great time.

Roosted a bird and after working on him for a little while and then showing a fan, Zane shot it at 15 steps. Weighed 21#12oz, 10 something beard and 1 1/8 spurs. 

Fast forward 2 hours and three spots later I walked in to one of my honey holes and struck this two y/o.  Shot him 30 minutes later.

Well done!   I always like seeing the wing barred tail feathers.   Run into that occasionally around here.  Congrats to you both!

I'd say it's probably 40 percent of our birds to some extent.  The one I killed had some on the base that's not visible in the photo.

And its been my experience that it always seems to be the center feathers.
