So far it hasn't been too bad. You have to take these tornadoes serious down here. I did say a quick prayer for my turkey mount in my office and all the turkeys hanging out in the trees tonight!

i feel like 'tornado' alley has moved east and a bit south.

i may be wrong. as a kid tornadoes fascinated me and i always associated nebraska, kansas, and oklahoma with that term.  do those states still get the most tornadoes but the southeast is just getting much more powerful storms?

we get a few tornadoes in wisconsin. had a weak one touch down about a mile from our hours 3 years ago. we get straight line winds quite often though.

People don't realize how violent the weather can be across central Mississippi and Alabama.

While the south is currently taking a beating via tornadoes, many may not know that the deadliest tornado in US history occurred in 1925 in the tri-state area of Missouri/Illinois/Indiana where 695 people were killed. I've heard my parents relate stories of straws being driven into trees, etc. Tornadoes are not to be taken lightly.

Accounts of that tornado make for fascinating reading. The thing apparently didn`t even look like what we all know to be what a tornado looks like. People didn`t even know what they were seeing. Just kind of a gray, misty looking wall...like a big fog bank.
