I'll be staying at a home on Lake Keowee for a week for my kids spring break in early April and I'd love to get a little hunting in. Thing is, it appears to do it legally on public land is gonna cost this FL boy $316 for a 3 day chance. There are a couple of nearby tracts and some national forest that are huntable in the area, but I'm wondering if its worth it. Never killed a SC gobbler before so its something I'd really be interested in. Any info on bird numbers, hunting pressure, etc in the area would be very helpful.
I'm a FL native and I'd be happy to help anyone with the WMAs I hunt down here for Osceolas in trade. I've been able to put a few OOSers on turkeys in the past.
PM if you've got anything to share and I'd be happy to reciprocate...
Good luck to all this season...
