Title: March 8, 2021 Update- COVID-19 Restrictions
Post by: mookyj on March 08, 2021, 03:55:34 PM
(https://i2.wp.com/www.turkey-talk.com/tblog/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/cv19huntfish-1024x455_no3.jpg?w=1024)

The following is a current update of currently impacted state hunting and fishing seasons as the current reality... 21 states still have restrictions with mandated quarantines, most with 72 hour testing opt out, (a few strongly recommended) some with hefty fines if caught. Several states have opened up

I will continue to update this when states ease and or rescind restrictions entirely. Instead of season shutdowns as in 2020, states that have 10 to 14-day quarantines may also opt out with 72 hour testing to forgo the quarantine which modifies our plans at the least, or ends the possibilities of taking the trip in the worst scenario. In general most of the restrictions will affect all travel without regard to purpose.

Things are changing rapidly. Maine tentatively will be open fully on May 1. Effective March 5, VT, NH, MA, CT and RI are free to travel to Maine without testing or a quarantine requirement. The same is true for individuals from every state if fully vaccinated or if one has had COVID within the last 90 days. Therefore with turkey season in Maine opening on May 3rd, things should be good to go.

I hope so as I hope to hunt there this spring. Some of the states are holding on tight to control over the masses. Being from NY, can't say much about more sensible states

I see that Washington State has a 14 day quarantine but it's recommended and not mandatory, correct?

Just read this morning that CDC has stated the restrictions for masks and gathering is eased for persons with vaccine shots so it would seem logical that state restrictions would be very fluid for the next couple of months.

Has anyone gone anywhere and had someone question them about being quarantined?  I have been all over for the past year and have had zero instance.

It is really just common sense, wear a mask in public so people do not freak out and keep distance when possible, which is most times.

Yes, that is how I read the current status in Washington State

Yes.
Texas hwy patrol had interstate 10 coming into the state shutdown last spring. When stopped, you had to fill out a quarantine sheet, put an address down, and it stated they could visit you and fine you if found in violation. You had to sign it showing you understood.

And I remember when I used to live in a free country, before Dr. Fauchi exported the gain of function research to China.

I never received a visit. I assume I could have, and had I been found in noncompliance, prosecuted for such.
