I'm heading up to work around boyne this week and was wondering if anyone knows where any state ground is around there to look for some mushrooms

That area is busting at the seams with state (public) land.Just tell the locals your looking for somewhere to squirrel hunt in the fall. Mention mushrooms and you wont get a peep.

Do you know where I can get a map I've been up there but its been a few years

Check out http://www.michigan.gov/dnr . When you get there try to find a field office. They will have maps.
