Poor fella is missing something...... definitely a mature bird with a case of beard rot. Monday morning scout was productive. Found 8 different longbeards and a bunch of hens on a WMA my wife and daughter have s permit for. Birds were gobbling decent and saw a few stutters. Should be a good opener.
Taken with a Nikon D850 and a 500mmpf lens. Exif- 1/200sec, iso160, f5.6, 500mm handheld

Great pics EO!
Thanks for sharing! Such great photos
Dang it! And I was doing real good. I really didn't need to see those. Great pics, no sleep for me now for about the next 4 weeks. :gobble:
I'm leaving March 28th.
Very nice. I have always enjoyed seeing your photography!
Nice Eric! Great looking birds!

That might be the best survival trick yet! Better than :OGturkeyhead:
Awesome pictures, looks like your right back in their living room. Eric , you ever run into any of those monster pythons?
Yes sir! My buddy in Central FL has been sending pics. Lots of strutting going on and had one from yesterday showing a gobbler breeding a hen. I hope to introduce myself to a couple of those boys come March 20th.
Beautiful photos, almost like I could reach up and touch the birds
Great shots.....
Won't be long now!
Great Pic, as always. I'll be heading down with my daughter in a few weeks. Hopefully we can mash 3 or 4.
Gorgeous pictures!
