Title: David Halloran Double Glass II
Post by: Tom Dooley on February 15, 2021, 02:56:02 PM
My 11 year old son is a big fan of David Halloran and had to have his new double glass. I really wasn't interested in a new double glass but ordered one for him. I have to say I really like this call. I owned his older one and really liked it but I like this one better. I honestly like it as good as anything out there. It has:
Great pitch and sound
Rolls over easily
Great rasp
You don't have to go through all your strikers to find ONE that plays well on it as most of them will.
Very easy to play
This is just my opinion as I know we all like certain sounds and how a call plays. I just thought I would share my take on the call.

That's awesome! Been wanting to try one, and glad to hear your eleven year old is so into the sport! As far as commercial makers go, Halloran's my favorite. I've never found a bad crystal or glass out of his shop. He makes those two surfaces particularly well.

Thanks Chester, my son has this call, a twisted sister, a older Halloran ceramic and a Halloran ebony and walnut box. He runs them all pretty well. His favorite is the twisted sister. I am going to order myself one of these double glass calls so that I don't damage or lose his. I may change my mind after hunting it but right now this new double glass is my favorite Halloran call
