I was thinking I wanted a red slate pot call. I saw Buster Halford mentioned here and other places so I decided to message him.  I have not had the best luck communicating with call makers via Facebook. However, Mr. Halford promptly responded with the requested information. A little over a week later I received my red slate persimmon pot. I made a good choice. Simply elegant and full of great turkey sounds!  Excellent product. Excellent service.

You can`t go wrong with a Halford pot caller.

I'll tell ya guys swear that pot flat out produces. I've got one. Personally my ear seems to like the green better but I was told the red gets it done. Soon we will see. Mine are both persimmon also. Good luck w it

I've got a Buster green slate persimmon that I absolutely love. Awhile back I contacted him about making me another pot—a slate over slate in a blue mahoe pot. He made the call and when finishing accidentally got a check in the wood. His quality is so top notch he refused to sell it. He told me I could have it or he'd pitch it. I, of course, took it, and begged him to let me pay him shipping, materials, whatever, but he wouldn't hear of it. All that to say, they don't make many like him anymore. If it comes out of his shop it's top notch and full of turkey. I'll have one of his in my pocket opening day.

All of his pots are top shelf, I watched several turkeys die last spring from his ceramic 2 sider and I have received a couple more from him since last spring that are amazing, we will see what the turkeys think this year for the true test.

Buy with confidence, he will not sell it if it does not meet his satisfaction, which is top notch customer service imo!

Buster makes an awesome call - I'll be running his Mahoe ceramic or Osage glass this spring pretty well constantly in the rotation. Great sound if you like rasp.

These are the Buster pot calls i have ... Mahoe ceramic over glass, Bolivian Rosewood glass over green slate, Persimmon red slate over glass , Hormigo glass over red slate, Walnut gray slate over glass and Hormigo 2 sider purple slate over glass and slate on the back side of the pot .. these pots are all awesome. He's great to do business with and his craftsmanship is excellent.

Great calls and a even better person, i love my calls from him. Buddy just ask me about getting a call with a pic of his son first bird under the glass and i gave him Busters # and they talked yesterday and he text me and said what a good guy Buster was and i text back and said yes but he also makes a killer call.

Larry is an excellent callmaker and a finer gentleman. I also have his red slate/ persimmon, ceramic/blue Mahoe and a Purple slate/Granadillo two sider. All of his calls are very easy to run and are all turkey. You will not be disappointed in Buster Halford pot call.
