Title: Southern Nebraska
Post by: Tom Threetoes on February 06, 2021, 08:12:09 AM
I've about given up on North West Nebraska and those white tipped birds. I think the best bet for me would be along the Southern border and the Republican river. There's very little public land there so if any of you all have hunted this area how hard is it to get permission on private property. I'm hoping to avoid the long drive and bad weather. Thanks

Surely somebody has hunted there. I'm not asking for favorite spots.

I hunt in southern Nebraska and like adjoining Kansas the numbers are way down.  Most places are leased to deer hunters or outfitters so you have to know someone to get access to private.  I've been going for nearly 20 years and its crazy how much things have changed when the landscape doesn't seem to have changed that much.  Good luck wherever you end up.
