With all the rain we got, the swamp we hunt just filled up with water, this is about halfway through the grounds we hunt.
This is the 2nd worst I have seen it. We had a bad rainfall 3 years ago that was twice as bad as this. We had 7 jakes come into our setup this morning but no longbeards, the water really messed us up this year.

Looks wet. You need to find the high spots. That will hold your turkeys. I love to hunt swamps. They are way cool.

Funny, one area I've hunted for forty years now....when we have wet years,a many a morning I've heard that familiar plunk plunk through the water and out steps old man longbeard from the cypress swamp.I have one fall spot I hunt every few years and you can just about bet the birds craw will be filled with crayfish when you clean them.
Wow, the skeeters are just loving that..
**cough** Themacell
Maybe there's a little island in there loaded with turkeys...hope ya find it!
That's what I hate about hunting wet weather along the river bottoms. Those damn birds will find an area buried deep inside the back waters where you can't get to em'.
nice, i have a creek going through my hunting land i love it
