Title: Gibson Trumpet
Post by: ncturkey on May 21, 2011, 09:59:07 AM
I want to share a unique looking trumpet I got from Darrell Gibson. It sounds sweet and is easy to play. It is made of Curly Chinese Chestnut.

NC I have never seen a Gibson look like that. It is really cool, wonder what the mouthpiece is made from? Looks like delrin...

Thanks for the comments. I think the  mouth peice is Delrin. The look was to go with matching sets of crow call and trumpet. I have a crow with the simmilar shape but the woods do not match. I am thinking of getting Darrel to make me one out of Buffalo Horn and a deer antler turned mouth stop for it. When I went to see him to get a crow call I saw this trumpet and had to have it. I am hoping to get one of his classic design turmpets oneday. See ya, Mike
