I am going to start my turkey library and would like to see a list of things that you consider a must read for turkey hunters. I've already ordered memories of spring as I have an easy opportunity to have it autographed. Ron Jolly lives 20 minutes from me. I would at some point like to have a few of Tom Kelly's autographed copies but not going to hold my breath that I get my own autographed. You can list your top favorites or just add to the list of others with things that are missing. Thanks!
The American Wild Turkey - Henry Davis
Turkey Hunting: One Man Game - Kenny Morgan
Old Pro Turkey Hunter - Gene Nunnery
The Book of the Wild Turkey - Lovett Williams
The Turkey Hunting World of Ben Lee - Ben Rogers Lee
Good ones listed by davisd. Some others:
Some Turkey Scratchings by Dwain Bland
Remembering the Greats by Jim Casada
Illumination In the Flatwoods by Joe Hutto
The Sultan of Spring by Bob Saile
Hunting the Wild Turkey by Tom Turpin (reprint available)
These are some of my favorites based on subject:.
The Wild Turkey and it's Management-Oliver Hewitt -Great reference book on the origin of the wild turkey in America
Ultimate Turkey Hunting-Knight n Hale - Great how to book.
The Truth by Cuz Strickland and Close Calls by Ronnie Clough both fun reads about Turkey hunting.

The Old Man and the Boy by Robert Ruark. Not turkey related, but stories about a young man learning lessons about hunting, fishing, and life along the N.C. coast back in the day. My favorite book, definitely worthy of any sporting library.
Jim
The old pro turkey hunter and Tenth legion go without saying.
The old pro stays in my truck all season long.
I'll add Doc Weddle's "Turkey tails and tales from across the USA" vol 1 and 2.
Tom Kelly's "the season" I really enjoyed as well.
Somewhere Along The Way by Andy Johnson Really enjoyed this book
The Book of the Wild Turkey - Lovett Williams Anything from him will be good.
Haunted by the Gobble written by Ted Rize who is a member here and goes by ctrize here.
Memories of Spring by Ron Jolly was very good as well.
Letters to my Grandsons,Larry Proffit ; America, Wild Turkeys and Mongrel Dogs, Kenny Morgan ; The American Wild Turkey Hunting Tactics and Techniques, John McDaniel; Turkey Hunting Spring and Fall, Doug Camp; East of The Slash and Bird of Courage, Wade Wineman; anything by Earl Mickel, anything Dwain Bland, anything by Lovett E. Williams, anything by Tom Kelly, anything by Dave Harbour.
Double gobble by Bobby Dale
I agree with Krkimbrough. The Old Man and the Boy and the followup book called The Boy (I think) by same author are very good. The Old man and the Boy will take you back to your childhood and make you miss old hunters throughout your life. Not a pure turkey book but one of my favorite books. One man's Game is probably my favorite turkey book followed by Illuminations in the Flatwoods.
The Education of a Turkey Hunter
William Frank Hanenkrat
Many great recommendations above but this one Is really underated. Very much enjoyed it!

By the way here is a thread I posted asking pretty much the same question and it has some great suggestions. Hope it helps. http://oldgobbler.com/Forum/index.php/topic,82172.msg797502.html#msg797502
