After sitting on the sidelines this spring due to Rona closures, it was nice to shoot a gobbler during my favorite time of year to turkey hunt. Called in three.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201015/ec1f2076ea1a1c657740d5cfb6867737.jpg)

And archery harvest, no less! Way to go! What was your strategy, and situation here, if you don't mind waxing poetic for a bit?

I set up in areas with gobbler sign and call. I was going to hunt this area in Spring but our governor shut down all public land.

CONGRATS!
Nice bird!
Been out the last week. we are seeing zero young birds here in southern ohio, so it looks like a poor hatch survival. I have seen birds every day and mostly adult hens. Got into two gobbler groups and things just didn't go right for a clean shot, been letting all the hens walk away. Have maybe seen 30-40 hens and 10 gobblers. Had two gobblers within 20 yards and something stupid happened each time. I will probably shoot a hen soon if I don't get anymore gobbler chances.
congrats , nice gobbler
Do you guys use turkey specific broadhead?
When I go out I'd like to be able to shoot deer or turkey with my crossbow
I have 100grain NAB thunderhead fixed blades.
