Title: Where would you start?
Post by: cluck on June 13, 2013, 12:13:22 AM
I've got a bps 10 gauge that been in the gun cabinet for over ten years. I even had it ported and forceing cone lengthed. I want to shoot 5 or 6 lead in it. Here's what I want. I want it to put 120 in a 10 inch circle at 40 yds and have at least a 10 or 15 inch dia. pattern at 20 yds. Can a person have the best of both 20 and for 40 yds. I don't like a softball size pattern at shorter yard's. Too easy to miss. What chokes and shells would you start at? I have a factory turkey choke that will pattern #4 at 90 percent in a 30 inch circle at 40 yds. That was back in the 1990s. Just want to put it back in woods this fall. Have killed a few turkeys with it. Many thanks for any help.    cluck
