Title: Fan size
Post by: 3seasons on April 15, 2019, 08:59:02 AM
Thought this was interesting  I was amazed at the size difference between my Rio and Eastern. Kinda crazy since my Rio was a big bird. That Eastern's fan is way bigger.

That is an interesting difference. Perhaps the Rios have changed to shorter tails due to their ability to offer less resistance to the winds that seem to constantly blow in the west. Just a guess, rather than just calling it a normal variation in the populations.

I noticed the same thing when I was putting my fans together for my slam.  Osceola seems even smaller than my rio.  I'll try to get a picture of all 4 fans side by side.
