Scratching and clawing to hunt as much until the very end. Once that is done I will go back to work and catch up on house chores my wife has been nagging about. As soon as I'm done hunting, I start running creeks fishing for smallmouth pretty often. It helps me to get over turkey season a little bit. But I still have some hunting to do before all that

Box Calls / Re: Glued Box

I have a walnut box glued to a bloodwood bottom with a purple heat lid from Dr. Jim Shelly that is one bad machine. I have seen some Dale Rohm boxes that were also excellent. I also know that Kip has some calls that run really well.

Kip - while on this subject, what are the chances compared to a nonglued box for one to come apart in the woods? I have wondered about them as far as strength, but my guess is that is not likely to be an issue.

If a man was only able to buy one of your Ferocious boxes - which one would you recommend to us as the one you would choose to slay birds with?

Great bird with a cool old gun. Sounds like the next step is a percussion double.

I am new to the trumpet call world, seeing them called Trumpets/Soft call/tree yelper, are these different versions or diffrent names for the same thing.
Just got my 1st trumpet from Misfire.

A tree yelper and soft caller are the same kind of thing. These are special made trumpet calls, usually shorter and fatter in stature. They are supposed to be used in very early morning as turkeys fly off roosting sites. They play softer, lower and quieter.

However, most good yelpers have the built in ability to be played the same way, as long as the player has the control and ability to do so, which isn't too hard to learn.
