I have not heard any gobbles but our weather has been snowy, rainy and cold

Gobbling and strutting the last week in NW Indiana , Newton County. Still in big winter flocks but starting to see some separation.

Southeastern hunter here....I have not heard a gobble yet. Hoping with the predicted warm up at the end of next week things start to change.

Why do u all want them to start getting fired up now? We still have 2 weeks before our season. This is a serious question. Am I wrong to think this way? I have just thought the last 2 seasons we've hit it kinda late and missed all the action. I was thinking this late cold weather might help us out in slowing things down till closer to the opener.

This cold weather.....at least it's keeping them on ice til closer to opener.  Not much gobbling yet, seeing a few strutters in big ag fields as I travel.  Ky opening this weekend, leaf/foliage is about nonexistent so don't get caught.

Southwest IN, last weekend saw two gobblers strutting with 6-8 hens gobbling quite frequently, this was around 8:30. On another property heard what I thought to be two jakes maybe a gobbler with them gobbling just after fly down, gobbled around 3 to 4 times.

Has anyone seen anything that suggest this colder weather is affecting or slowing them down this season?

My friends and I have been out several times this year and have heard very little gobbling. I've hunted Jackson, Harrison and Crawford Counties and have heard very little gobbling and have only seen a few in the fields.
