Any suggestions for carrying push pin calls with or without a vest?? I am worried about breaking pins. I am tough on gear!
I carry 2 every time I go. It is tough as they make a lot of noise. I'm not worried about breaking them, and haven't been in a situation where I thought I would have. I'd like a good way to keep them quiet.
To keep mine quite, I place a piece of scuff pad between the soundboard and striker. Works pretty good unless you reall jam against the pin.
I used a very narrow Velcro strap that wraps around the top of box and covers both ends of pin. Keeps it totally silent and have not busted a pin yet.

I put mine in a nylon dress sock , it keeps it silent , then put in a FRONT pocket , or cave a strap bag to put them in
I usually put a piece of folded paper towel under the sound board and just stick it in my vest.
I carry one every hunt as well, get a wide rubber band and wrap it around the call with it pulling down on the "push" rod right at the box. When I use it I wrap the rubber band around my wrist to keep up with it.
I put mine in a apple crown royal bag
piece of thick folded cardboard that I wedge in between the soundboard on the bottom of the call. keeps the pin from being pushed when I'm walking. If I lose it its pretty easy to replace too. Been doing it for years.
I carry mine in a semi rigid zip case that Chums makes called The Vault. It is the perfect size.
