Looking shell/choke recommendations for a Browning BPS with a 28 inch barrel
My son has a BPS with a Kicks choke, he's been carrying it for about 17 years. I believe it's .665, but not positive. Other than being long and heavy it's a turkey killer. It shoots about everything well. Hevi shot, Long Beard, Fed Premium 6s or 5s or Blends. Shoots where you point it...which seems to be rare. I'd venture to say that about any of the turkey chokes out there today will be good in it.
I just realized that I posted this on a 20 gauge page, the gun I was talking about is a 12. Sorry
I had good results with the hevi choke, but now with the proliferation of tss shells I would think just about any less constricted turkey choke will work well now.
I have a Carlson 585 using hand load tss 9s.
