Title: Iowa youth season gobbler
Post by: FinBonZ on April 12, 2014, 10:52:15 PM
After passing on a jake and having a slow opening weekend, Bryce stuck with it today.  Strutting about 100 yards across a field, the gobbler came in following in a hen until he got to about 15 steps.  Bryce put the hammer down on this tom at 10:30 this morning.  24#s, 9" beard, and spurs that were just over 1".

Ishi,  The birds are doing their thing here in Iowa.  The forecast for the next few days is not good.  Chance of snow Monday and then somewhat cool the next few days.
