First time out with my Marlin Watkins fiddle paddle with wormy butternut body and bloodwood lid. The bird came in on a dead run from several hundred yards away. My wife shot him with a 28 gauge with 1 3/8 oz. of #9 1/2 TSS at 25 yards - deader than a doornail. It's a classic public land Montana merriams - 2 1/2 year old with 9 inch beard and weighed 18 pounds. The Watkins call looks to be a real killer.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190426/5671ac4bb53015152c4bd1c9201b68e8.jpg)

Here's another one with the Watkins call. Had to finish him with an Alan Dunfee (aka kentuckyheadhunter) (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190505/a1c4901008abfd2dfaa6fc24bc763900.jpg)scratch box, the Spanish Lady.
