No gobbles, but two big groups of males just started to split up over the weekend near me.
I think we're going to hit it just right.

Hunting in the Henderson area, still seems to be a bit early with our birds. Went Friday and heard one bird on the limb. Saw several gobblers, all still running in groups mid day.

I am from Chattanooga, Tn. My buddy just called me earlier and said he heard two gobble on the roost tonight. So i think it should be a good year hopefully. Last year we didn't do any good after the first two weeks they were done here for the most part. I seen them strutting in the last parts of February and first of March last year cause we didn't have no winter and it was so warm. I think there on schedule this year..

yes gobbling and strutting and the groups are breaking up. Heard some gobbling when I scouted public land last week. Yesterday I called in some jakes and a hen into the backyard and got some video. They don't usually show up in the yard until they break up in the spring. It's getting good here but I sure wish this cold weather would warm up a little.

It was a clear crisp cool morning yesterday.  Maybe 30 degrees and they were definitely singing.  A front is supposed to come through on friday and Juvenile hunt is on Saturday.  My guess is they won't make a sound come saturday morning.

I have never seen the wind like it has been this year.  It was windy all deer season and it's been worse this spring.  I wish hurricane gussy would blow on outta here!

Heard zilch. Could have heard a pin drop. A few crows was about it. Wasn't any sign where I was tho. Looks like there was a poor acorn crop so back to the drawing board

When I left for Florida last Friday, they were singing here at home, and one big winter flock had busted into three groups. Went yesterday to check the plotwatchers and they are all back in one big group now. Didn't hear anything either. My buddy's son killed a whopper this morning here in West Tn, but it never made a peep. Just walked into the food plot with a wad of hens and jakes.

I'm in the Decatur/Henderson County area. We had 4 gobbling on the limb this morning. Flew down and shut up, though. Located a hot gobbler later in the morning, but he was with his hens. We got set up, and called him and his hens into about 80 yards, but that was as close as they would come. Heard a few more random gobbles every now and then, before lunch. Gonna go try it again in the morning.

Well they gobbled in Montgomery county today. We started on public land and heard 2 gobbling on the limb, but had a hunter between us and the birds. Relocated 15 miles to private land and got there after fly down. Heard gobbling before we called. Called and eventually got 3 fired up. Shot 1 around 8:30, heard more gobbling on our walk out.

Wasn't a very good morning over my way. It was foggy and raining most of the morning. We heard one gobble three times early, but then he shut up.

Went out Saturday morning to listen and heard one on the limb gobble half dozen times. Not much sign yet. Last year we didn't see any sign at our spot until 2-3 days before opening day. But I think they are on track this year for a good season in west tn. Beech bluff area.

Heard 7-8 different birds gobbling on the roost this morning. About half continued to gobble for about an hour once they hit the ground and then went silent for the rest of the morning. They are slowly but surely getting there.

This morning I heard one gobble on the roost about 5 times.  Then, the bottom fell out....RAIN that is.  I am seeing alot of birds displaying, but still not much gobbling.  The birds also seem to still be together somewhat.

I scouted on the 27th in Maury Co. and went on top of a big bluff where I could see and hear a good ways. They were gobbling all over the place, nearby and far off. there was frost on the ground but that didn't effect the birds. Opening morning is looking really good on the forecast and I am headed to bed to get very little sleep....

Heard 4 this morning on the roost and continued to gobble until about 8am.  They roosted on the other side of the river from the property we are hunting... Go figure.  They never would cross...

We heard 3 Saturday until about 8 then nearly nothing but a gobble here and there. This morning we had 3 gobbling in a different spot on the roost then they went silent.  I had one today gobble 50 times in a two hour stretch between 10 and 12 then I spooked him trying to go to him. I bumped one today walking out and I had called 50 yards before I got to him and he was silent. He had two hens with him though.
Oh well try again this weekend. Southern middle TN

Hunted half the day on opening day and all day on Sunday. Gobbling was good on both WMAs I hunted. Killed a bird both days. Gobbling on roost, on ground, around mid to late morning, and then mid to late afternoon. Both toms I killed were singled out.

Hunting in Hardeman county. Its been tough thus far, little to no gobbling at any time during the day. Killed one saturday but he only gobbled 3 times. Hoping after this front blows through they get fired up a little. Never heard the first gobble on sunday.
