I wanted to give kudos to Jason Dials for making me these three calls. If you don't know him you should! He makes one heck of a boxcall. I couldn't be happier with the sound and craftsmanship of these three calls. I can't wait to take them in the woods. Pic from top to bottom are maple over cherry with ebony inlays (higher pitched call), walnut over cedar (mellow like most cedar boxes) and maple over oak (a little more rasp than the others).
I bought couple and they are great boxes... Walnut/Cedar and Walnut/Mahogany
I agree! Jason is doing well in callmaker competitions too. Originally, I won his locust crystal over glass pot call from the Ohio buckeye challenge last year and I couldn't be happier with that call. That's what made me look him up. Great guy to deal with as well!
That maple over oak is a good sounding call...
He's building a killer box, and is a fellow Ohio native. Definitely on my list to get one from!
