Title: 18" 870 with Sumtoy .650 Choke
Post by: houser52 on February 26, 2012, 06:17:28 PM
Got the Sumtoy choke late last week and finally got to shoot it just to see if that short 18" barrel will kill a turkey.
I'm well pleased with the even pattern, good pellet count of the Hevi 3-2-7 and using just a fiber optic bead.

What do you think?

Thanks guys. I was surprised with that Hevi #7 pattern. Better than I was expecting. The SumToy choke pattern was what I was hoping for.

The WW 3" HV # 6 lead wasn't nearly as good at 40 yards. I didn't shoot any lead closer than 40 yards but I'll shoot some close targets later to see what my max range will be with lead.
