I tried 2 different internals/changes on this recording...... Really was hoping to get some feedback on the tone/pitch between the 2 calls.....which one is preferred by your ear? Or any thoughts about the 2 would be welcome. There are just a few seconds of dead air between the 2 calls. FYI...the wood being used here is Bois de Rose.

I liked the sound from the first one better. Both sounded fine.
Greg both sound good. What kind of wood will make a difference
Greg, both sound good but I prefer the first one as well.
Out of the two I prefer the first one as well. Sounds like you may have opened up the second step, or maybe even the first. Both sound like they have lost some of the distinct drop or roll, whatever you want to call it. But I'm about tone deaf so don't put a lot of emphasis on what I'm hearing.
I think I like the sound of the first one a little better also.

Lol...Nah, your hearing is fine, these test internals do not have the hard rollover that my standard/production internals have. Just having fun messing with new stuff.
It's hard for me to tell.. I thought I liked the yelps from the first one but the clucks better on 2.Tough decisions!!!!
I thought the both sounded good. The second seemed like a little higher front end. Keep your hard roll over Bud...that's what makes a really good call. I'm sure you're well aware of that.
Hey, I'd like to hear some more whistles!!!

Appreciate it EZ..... I love a solid rollover too, will never get too far from that. I love to experiment, and am always amazed at how different a trumpet plays/sounds in the woods than anywhere else, so I do these recordings for verification. Those whistles are always tougher to pull off when I am trying to record....lol
Myself I like the sound of the second one better .but I prefer a higher pitched call .both sounds are great and have a rollover .

Thanks man....yeah, these internals have good rollover, but not quite as hard as my standard/favorite one. I like both call setups, easy runners....the first one was slightly easier to kee-kee on, just forgot to try it.
I liked both but preferred the second one myself.
