Title: Attempted turning my first trumpet
Post by: Jrkimbrough on January 03, 2020, 09:55:10 PM
Much respect to you guys that turn these!  It's not easy!

I'd say it was a small victory but not a huge success... turned it from a piece of Frogwood

Love the piece of wood, looks better than my 1st attempt....trumpets are a trial & error adventure, keep at it and you will find what you are looking for.

I thought it sounded good. I'd like to hear a little higher front end, but you can definitely run that thing. Can't wait to see what you come up with down the road. Nice call!!!
