Anyone had any luck out of the Apex 12ga #8's?
Here's Number 8s with my 835 and Indian Creek at 40 yds
Dang that pattern look like a Hammer at 40!
Using 12 gauge apex #8's and a carlson .676 heavy 13 choke. At 40yds with the mossberg 835 28'' barrel I got 363 in a 10'' circle.
A friend with a 26'' barrel with same choke gets 385. We've tried the Indian creek .675 and are not getting close to that.
I'll let you know. I have an old 2 3/4" Winchester 1200 I just ordered 2 3/4" Apex 8's for.

Apex 3.5 #8's at 60yds 180 in 10 inch using a .683 long beard Carlson choke tube and a 835 Mossberg with a 28 inch barrel.
Apex 3.5 #9's at 60yds 298
Apex 3.5 #9's at 80yds 196
both with a Carlson .676 heavy 13 choke tube 835 Mossberg 26 inch barrel.
The 9's all shot point of aim from 40yds to 80yds they hold up better than expected.
Apex's performed well
#9 apex 40 yards 570 in a 10 inch circle
In the 12 gauge and 2oz plus loads the 8s or 8.5s are the way to go. Smalller than 2oz go 9s.
