Title: Claycomb turkey hunting vids
Post by: the Ward on March 20, 2019, 11:27:56 AM
Found some good turkey hunting video series posted on U-tube the other day. They follow a couple guys through the whole season hunting Ohio, Pa, WV, and Kansas. Public land hunting, not your typical video's filmed from blinds with crazy music added. No added drama, just nice camera work and some cool hunting footage. Really enjoyed watching them, i still have some more episodes to watch.Getting me exited for this season! I don't know how to post a link, but it's called Claycomb Outdoors, Fired up day by day series. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, i just wanted to let members know about it. Been the best real life turkey hunting video's i've seen in awhile.

Between Claycomb, Pinhoti, The Hunting Public, Catman Outdoors, and Calling All Turkey, I have got my fix over the past year.

I think you'll really enjoy it as well. It is nothing like the mainstream turkey shows on TV.

Matt Wettish puts on a good show as well.

Another great You Tube channel for Turkey Hunting is 'Calling all Turkeys' with Shane Spencer. No blinds and calling in turkeys. Up there with the Pinhoti Project. I give Dave the edge but Shane ain't too far behind. Also Daryl Slayton is in a couple of episodes.

A lot of great suggestions for turkey hunting shows! I get home late at night from work usually. Everyone is asleep, so i put on the tv for an hour or so to unwind  and have a snack before i hit the hay. Won't be to much longer till i'm trying to get to bed as fast as i can to get a couple hours of sleep in before i hit the woods. Can't hardly wait!

On it like stink on a cat turd. :icon_thumright:

I did forget a few on there, like Bartlett Kimbrough, Hunt Quest (Scott Ellis), and The Untamed (kinda ashamed, but they are fun to laugh with/at).

Also, Samong Yang Outdoors.  Man oh man is it hard to watch, but if you can make it through till the kill, these kids are as genuine as it gets.  They are doing it for the right reasons.

Black face masks, solid color pants, Colorado elk packs, and prepubescent owl hooting make for a funny show for sure.  But they have a good time and their editing/video/sound quality is great.  And they have a good time too.  Stands as a good reminder of why we are all out there.  Sometimes the fads and competition gets in the way of that.
