Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I have a problem when hunting with the straight tip strikers. I loose my angle and get a real high pitched sound and I am afraid I will run the birds off when making that mistake. Its nasty bad!! Until I get a grip on things I would like to run flared tip strikers. I have one Lyman (I thought LOL!) and I don't mess up with it but It doesn't work well with my other calls I want to carry. I tried a Stuckys striker and have the same trouble.
Thanks!!
How about Sinclair strikers. I have same trouble and it seems now I have less issues when using Sinclair's. Just a suggestion.
Never had one of his so it is a gamble..
Heck contact him, he is great guy might just send you one to try. I got a snakewood on the way and I would not have spent that much if it didn't help me with my "squeaking"!
Try a Halloran one piece Ipe.

Your the second guy that told me to try Halloran. I just asked another member about the ipe..
Dad's strikers are great for hunting. His Purpleheart, monkeywood and charcoal or rainbow laminate are terrific.
