Makes me wonder if it is just another myth possibly started by a poor caller, these guys sure don't seem to have a problem with getting their feet wet. ;) ;D ;D

Called this one across a creek to me earlier. Notice half his beard is wet.

I live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and if turkeys didnt like to get their feet wet then they would never leave the roost around here.

Called two across a dirt road and a creek last year. The lead bird got a face full of fives.
