Thanks for posting this.  I did one last spring not quite knowing what i was doing.  Turned out alright but this will help me out for a better one this spring.   :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

Good post!  I have done this with my last few birds and my buddies have always asked about them.  Now I'm helping them cape their birds out.

Same with the one I did about 6 years ago. Came out actually pretty dang well, considering I didn't have a clue to what I was doing.

Here are the latest.  The fan is my Colorado Merriams from last year, and the fan w/cape is my son's Illinois Eastern from last year.
