Who all carries a call specifically for soft calling situations? I'm considering picking up a call for tree talk and finishing and would love some recommendations and to hear how you guys handle the soft calling situations.

Roger parks makes a very good one.

I use the same Gooserbat diaphragm for everything from zero to obnoxious.

Yeah, one of the signs of a good call or caller is the ability to play soft or loud without compromising sound quality. So you can do it with any of your calls. But there are some made for the task. I think Watkins makes or made one.

Generally, hard to beat a slate pot and a soft wood striker for that job.

A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409

It's a little slate called the "Coaxer".

A trumpet can do it all.

I agree.  I use a trumpet for ALL my soft morning tree talk stuff.

I do.
I tree yelp with trumpet/cane call
And I carry either a Watkins coaxer
Or parks soft talker for purr and soft clucks and throw in a soft yelp/tree yelp
Killed a bunch o turkeys with just soft calling on these one of these two calls and a trumpet or cane call
