Title: woodhaven blackbird
Post by: siyakadog on March 12, 2011, 08:03:26 PM
Does anyone know where to get a woodhaven "blackbird" striker?  I don't see them anywhere anymore, it sounds absolutely awesome on any surface any call all the time.  I use it on all my custom calls and would like another one just in case I break it or lose it.

Got one, woodhaven had to stop making them because thy would shater in the lathe. The wood was very brittle
and hard to work with.

I talked to Mike P @ woodhaven and he found 4 of the blackbirds, no one else had any idea they had any left.  So if you interested they still have 3 straight tip left.  I hope it is as good as the one I bought years ago.
Once again they have great customer service, and willing to deal w special requests.

I have one but don't really care for it.  I just bought a strike 3 oak flare-tip that sounds awesome though...
