Shot the Winchester longbeards today and I like them! Browning gold 28" barrel 3.5 #5s should do the trick. What y'all think?(http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag27/tbarfiel22/5AF21FAC-766B-4AD1-9D41-A4D436D1126E_zpsb8ejwdwc.jpg) (http://s1297.photobucket.com/user/tbarfiel22/media/5AF21FAC-766B-4AD1-9D41-A4D436D1126E_zpsb8ejwdwc.jpg.html)
How far and what choke?
30 yds and a kicks gobbling thunder .680
It will hunt. A tighter choke will easily add another 5+ yards to that pattern.
Good 30 yard pattern. :icon_thumright:
Step back to 40 and see how she does.
Lets see the 40.
Draw a 10 inch circle around the best area of hits, after the shot and count the hits . :wagon:
Looking good at 30.
Looking good at 30 yds. :firefighter:
Try a Kick's .670 at 40 yards. :OGturkeyhead:
Taint bad at all. You can stop there by me. I don't want 5s any tighter than that at 30 yds.
Will try and get a 40 yard up soon wind has been rough. I hunt in south mississippi and it is super thick in the swamp i hunt. Shots will be at max of 40 most places i hunt. But will find out what itll do. Got some 4s yesterday and if they pattern decent will most likely hunt with them.
That looks good, but almost every gun and choke and shell I've ever patterned looked good at 30 Yards. Try it at 35 or 40. At least at 35.
That's nice
