Been wanting a different turkey gun so tried finding a Mossberg 835, one of the 24" guns. That was a waste of time! Local gun shop said "wait 'till later in the year."
Doing a search of Gunbroker now, may find it there. I've got others but ya know how it is with "gun nuts"
Be safe,
Find 835 with 20" barrel thank me later.
835 Ulti Mags and 870 Super Mags are classic turkey guns.
Found a dealer today that has the 835 ultra Mags in stock
Order placed!
Wow, grab it....
Got it :z-guntootsmiley:!
Now where's my ammo stach and some targets?
A kicking machine.

Indeed. Both the 835 and the 870 Super Mag. I became a BIG fan of the slip-on Limbsaver and 3" turkey loads! I recommend them both .

I have a 870 Super and she just sits in the safe. The Maxus is easier on my shoulder. Even the 3.5 isn't bad.

I can relate! I like my 870, but I definitely had to calm it down recoil wise. I had never been recoil sensitive until the first time I pulled the trigger on that thing.
I shoot 3" shells in my 870sm, and it is not too bad, especially when you are gunning down a gobbler. My buddy (all 155lbs) insists on shooting 3.5" in his, and it's a sight to see.. if it weren't for the tree, I think it would roll him over backwards.

I think the term for that is " masochism ". There`s not a turkey walking that a 3" shell won`t kill.
