Who just won it on eBay, over $500 !
When the auction started you could have done the "Buy It Now" for $350.
I didn't see that I almost bid at 300, then it went to 500,
Im going for the $4000 Neil Cost paddle on there!
When I see a call worth 4000.00, I'll let you know. NEVER!!!!!!

Haha, but seriously, caution should be used on that one. It's advertised as the last call before the Fat Lady. Neil made a LOT of last calls before the Fat Lady.
The Fat Lady was the last of 10 of the count down to the fat lady, they are numbered.
Bob
Bob Harwell >> Do you know what the last ten calls were? I am aware of a set of 5 Butternut and now a set of 4 Mahogany.
Did he do a set of 5 butternut
Set of 4 Mahogany
Set of 3 ????
Set of 2 ????
Fat Lady
Just curious if you know. I talked to Lamar and Steve and neither knew.
Back to that Lamar call on ebay. Not many of those Walnut paddle calls out there. It was a good one for sure.
I don't know but I played all of the pre Fat Lady calls & the Fat Lady.
I have a L.W. walnut PC, there aren't many of them. It took about 5 yrs. to get it.
Bob
Bob Harwell >> By pre Fat Lady do you mean the 5 Butternut?
I didn't have a good memory at age 20. Was the Fat Lady made 15 yrs. ago? The Fat Lady was b-nut w/cedar lid, as were all the boat paddles. I don't remember what woods were used for the other calls.
Bob
I was told 1 hr ago that there were 5 mahogany calls followed by 5 b-nut & then the fat lady. This man has the last b-nut made, before the F L. So there were a total of 11 calls made.
Bob
I just looked at the call on ebay. #3 of 4. My info is wrong.
Bob thanks for the history on the calls!
lamar also makes a great walnut paddle box

Awesome. I hope to have one of those someday. I have been on his waiting list a while now. I hope to see Lamar at Unicoi next week.

First one I have seen. He told me he did not make many of them. Neither does Darrin Dawkins.
I have 2 all cedar PC from Lamar, there are very few of them. I also have an Alaskan yellow cedar w/red cedar lid. He has made even fewer of them.

That's awesome Bob. I know Lamar made a few AYC/red cedar paddle calls (5? I believe he said) this year and Kelly Puckett was going to woodburn them. Lamar told me he was going to keep one for himself. Those will be some kind of special.
Those call are all nice. That paddle call is really nice.
