My daughter is an Environmental Engineer working on a pipeline in Pennsylvania. She called me today and said during her inspection she could here a turkey yelping ahead of her and when she caught up to it she found an older gentleman sitting on his deck running a box call. No gun, just liked calling em up and watching them. She mentioned that her father makes and sells box calls back in Michigan and asked what call he was playing. When he said Spring Creek she busted out laughing and told him that was one of mine and about growing up hearing box calls every day being played from the basement workshop. Sold a lot of calls to Pennsylvania but to have her come across one in that way was pretty cool.
That's awesome .. what memories ...
That's cool!
Yelp pretty COOL. I say send that dedicated man a free call for calling up family.

I'm actually considering doing just that when she gets me a name and address.
small world!
That's cool !
Great story!
I was getting gas a few years back in middle GA and recognized the guy beside me as Harold Fowler.
I reached in my vest and said, "Do you recognize these strikers, you made them?" He laughed, we talked hunting for a few minutes and then he gave me a crabapple and a Jatoba that he had laying in his truck. Nicest guy you could meet. I really wished I would have visited him some, I hunt a piece a property only a few miles from his town.

Very cool story Mike, it is a small world sometimes
Not sure what is cooler, daughter finding someone with one of your calls. Or that she's an Environmental Engineer.
Indeed a small world.
