He would come out in daylight hours for a few days but he wouldnt while I was in the stand...
I would have love to put an headmount of him on my wall...

Sounds like your luck was the same as mine. I would suggest that you pack in a climber the next time.  Be quiet and put in on the other side of your bait. He may have spotted you on stand and knows when your there.Watch your scent and dont touch anything you don;t have to.Rubber gloves and rubber boots.
