Well I haven't told anyone but I missed a turkey a few weeks ago. It was a quick shot and the turkey flew off. I think the bird was around 40ish yards standing in the middle of a logging road in planted pines. I was surprised when he took off since I'm usually pretty good in my shooting. Anyway I found the wad and thought it was interesting how it wasn't opened all the way. Is the normal? It's a Federal TSS 20ga 9's. I'm hoping to blame the miss on something besides me haha. That looks as expected for that flight control wad
Are you running a ported choke?
Ok. I couldn't remember what the wads looked like last time I shot. No ported choke. It's a Sumtoy .555. Obviously if it's not the wad my sight must be off. Hahaha

Agree the wad looks fine ..
That's a tight choke.
My Federal wads look just like that shot through a .555.

That's a tight choke.
It gives me a pretty pattern on the paper.

Looks like the new Flight Control Flex that is supposed to be better than the Flight Control especially when shot through a ported barrel/choke. The old ones had brake fins in the middle too. These are advertised to shoot well in a ported barrel.
normal looking flight control wad
